The Tibetan refugee community in the neighborhood of Boudha, Kathmandu, is large and very cohesive. They try to maintain traditions, culture and language, although they can not step on your country.
They have a love without equal to the Dalai Lama, and they celebrate anything that has to do with him.
These girls in the photograph, were my students at the Tibetan school where I was in Kathmandu, and the photo is the day celebrating the 26th anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize to the Dalai Lama. The place: The Shelkar Buddhist Monastery, where I later also have been doing different workshops.
